新田氏は「学問のもつ政治的含意を敢えて問うことをせず、政治的・実践的問題から距離をおくという姿勢」が何か悪いことのように言われますが、これも学問の客観性ですね。「歴史学が現実の政治世界とどのように切り結ぶか」みたいなことを考えていると、学問が政治に取り込まれてしまいます。
